Carbide point: Tracer

• • Tracer point is in a “V” shape to apply equal pressure to both sides to help split the stone.
  • Used to mark a straight line on the stone on polished or sawn surfaces only (Be careful on rock pitched areas; using this chisel on any uneven surface could cause carbide tip to fracture and fail.)
  • Continuous tracing along the same line usually results in the stone breaking along line.
  • Can be used to remove larger amounts of stone than the chipper at one time.
  • Usually used to get stone to a rough dimension before finishing with a Chipper.
