Helping all children to participate and learn alongside their peers

MISSION is to provide support for children with disabilities so they can access community recreation and leisure activities with their peers.
WE BELIEVE that all children should have the opportunity to participate and learn alongside their non-disabled peers.
ARISE is the one program in our community that works closely with all other community programs who provide programming for children outside the school day. Parents can simply call ARISE after registering their child in any activity of their choice and we will assign an assistant to go with your child to the activity, providing whatever support they need at no cost.

INCLUSION

  • By including children with disabilities in recreational activities at a young age, we are helping develop skills, awareness and the desire to be lifelong participants.
  • ARISE can help children gain
  • Activity Specific Skills
  • Group Participation Skills
  • Self Esteem
  • Increased Independence
  • Opportunities for Positive Peer Interactions
