What’s Hydrofinishing?: Through a controlled process, high-pressure water erodes, surfaces, finishes, and decorates stone and other materials.

Hydrofinish technology, designed and developed by Waterjet Corporation, uses high pressure (up to 2,500 bar), a high-flow water jet performs a surface finishing through a controlled erosion. This finishing process enhances the original color of the material.
HYDROFINISH IS A TOTALLY SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGY: it does not generate fumes, heat or polluting waste materials.
The water jet is intensified and forced through a rotating multi-nozzle body by a high-pressure pump, hitting the surface of the stone at a pressure of 2500 bar, resulting in a broad range with decorative effects.
These effects vary depending on the different degree of coarseness which can be adjusted through
– pressure,
– the distance of the nozzle from the material and
– synchronized speed of nozzle movement, and
– on the variation in color of the material, which is enhanced by this type of technology.
